We launched the Next Generation Online Skateboard Shop! The website has a Flash-driven navigation menu and uses JQuery to display popup images. Each page's content and all shop items can be added, and edited using a custom-made Content Management System. The online shop has a shopping cart and uses Paypal for a secure checkout.
"I started skateboarding in 1996, I grew up skating around the Boston area. When I was 18 I joined the Air Force and moved away to Nebraska where I was stationed for 4 years. While I was out in Nebraska I got sponsored by my friend Jason's shop Next Generation. Through the shop I picked up a few more sponsors including eS footwear, and Null Skateboards. In 2005 I got discharged from the Military and decided to open up a shop. It's something I've always wanted to do since I started skating. My first shop was located in Fremont, NE a small town located outside of Omaha. It was a cool setup. I had a shop on the main level and I had a small skatepark in the basement level. We would have concerts there frequently as well. After staying in Fremont for 3 years I decided to move back east. I felt like there were a lot more oppurtunities back in Boston for me. In March 2008 I opened up a Next Generation in my hometown of Waltham, MA. We've been open a year and a half already and things are going great. I want to thank everyone that has supported the shop since I've started it. Everyone helps a small business grow." -Pat Hickey COMMENTS (displaying 0 comments) POST (leave a comment) |
